Bangkok flights from Mumbai in December is cheaper on Thai airways

I was just checking fares from Mumbai to Bangkok for my New Year trip to Bangkok this year and to my surprise Thai airways was the cheapest among the international airlines shown on Makemytrip. On Thai airways I saw fare of 20K all inclusive and rest of the airlines like kingfisher airlines (second cheapest @ 22716 Rs), Indian airlines (Third cheapest @ 25571) and then the Air India, Jet airways, Cathay airways and Singapore airlines followed.

I wanted to book Makemytrip international flights but then I checked yatra.com international and found out quite significant advantages of booking international flights thru them. Listing some of the advantages that tool me only 30 minutes to make up my mind and go for Yatra.com to book my international flights to Bangkok.

2. Fortunately I am citibank credit card users, and they are running 10% cash back for Citibank credit users.

3. Best fare challenge on their site is just awesome, if you find cheaper fare then they match the same. Though I have some concern over the same but at least this ensures me that Yatra.com will try and match if not charge me higher for my Mumbai to Bangkok Flights.

I haven't looked rest of the websites and these are leading travel portal in India and that trust goes with these two before even looking at others.

Jet airways launches Mumbai to Hongkong services from 1 Oct 2009

Jet Airways, leading Indian private carrier, has launched its second daily flight to Hong Kong from India, with a state-of-the-art, wide-body Airbus 330-200 aircraft. It flagged off its inaugural flight to Delhi from Hong Kong on 1 October 2009.

The airline expects the new daily flights to facilitate business and leisure travel between the Indian capital and Hong Kong, the commercial hub of the East, and also complement the airline's existing Mumbai-Hong Kong services. Jet airways has gone thru rouh weather in the past but it seems that it hadn't deter them from serving its customers the best in flight experience. Hats off to Mr. Naresh Goel and his men.

From 30 September 2009 to 24 October 2009 and from 28 March 2010 to 30 October 2010, flight 9W72 will depart Delhi at 2250 hrs and arrive in Hong Kong at 0655 hrs.

Flight 9W71 will then depart Hong Kong at 1330 hrs and arrive in Delhi at 1650 hrs.

Jet Airways Konnect, Jet Airways’ all-economy no-frills service, will operate over 180 daily flights across India by 1 October with the introduction of services on several key domestic routes throughout September. This is just increase ecosystem by x fold in the indian domstic airlines segment. Earlier launching this move was a tactical move by Jet airways but now this has become a business model to be profitable and remain in the league of low cost of carrier apart from scheduled carrier category.

Demand for the low fare, high quality services of Jet Airways Konnect has been a major force in driving the introduction of the new flights. Previously operated by Jet Airways, the services will be aboard Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
